The EFES-2026 Defense Science and Technologies Project Competition will be organized for university students through the cooperation of the Ministry of National Defense, Dokuz Eylül University, and the Aegean Army Command. The competition serves as a comprehensive R&D and innovation platform aiming to transform innovative ideas developed in the fields of health, artificial intelligence, engineering, defense, and security technologies into concrete and applicable projects.

This competition, which will be held among universities in the Aegean Region, supports projects that produce prototypes, demonstrators, measurable technical outputs, and tangible engineering solutions. In addition, interdisciplinary teamwork, technical depth, and the practical applicability of the developed projects are among the main priorities of the competition. Following the application process, projects will be evaluated by a competent jury of experts, and the successful ones will be exhibited in a highly visible environment and brought together with the defense science and technology ecosystem.

This organization aims to enhance our students’ research, design, and technology development skills, while also contributing to the emergence of qualified and applicable projects through the academic guidance of our faculty members. At the same time, it constitutes an important platform that strengthens university–defense industry cooperation, supports our institutional R&D capacity, and increases strategic interaction.
