Ege University Trains the Cybersecurity Experts of the Future

The Ege University (EU) Vocational School of Cybersecurity, one of the four thematic schools established in Turkey, prepares the cyber heroes of the future for the IT world with its "3+1 Education Model," high-tech laboratories funded by Roketsan, and strong industry collaborations.

Ege University (EU) Vocational School of Cybersecurity awaits its new students with the vision of building a domestic and national defense force against the increasingly complex threats of the digital world. Being one of the four pioneering academic units established in this field in Turkey, the vocational school continues to bridge the expert gap in the IT sector by training "digital warriors" who are well-equipped against cyber attacks, possess analytical thinking skills, and have adopted ethical values.

The EU Vocational School of Cybersecurity stands out with the unique educational structure it offers to its students. Within the scope of the "3+1 Education Model," students take intensive theoretical and practical courses at the school during the first three semesters of their education; they complete their final semester as "Workplace Vocational Training" within technopark companies, member organizations of the Turkish Cybersecurity Cluster, and strong sectoral partners. Thanks to this model, students find the opportunity to fill their resumes with professional work experience and build an extensive reference network.

The Cyber Analysts of the Future Are Trained Here

The "Cybersecurity Analysis and Operation" program within the vocational school offers a comprehensive curriculum to train cybersecurity incident analysts, cyber threat intelligence analysts, and cybersecurity systems operators. In special laboratories funded by Roketsan, which operate with a capacity of 25 students, students carry out "Red Team" (Offensive) and "Blue Team" (Defensive) training practically. The curriculum covers a wide spectrum ranging from database security to digital forensics, and from AI-supported cybersecurity to cryptology and cybersecurity law.

The Opportunity to Open Up to the World with Erasmus

The EU Vocational School of Cybersecurity opens doors for its students not only in the national arena but also internationally. Through the Erasmus Plus program, students who participate in learning mobility at partner universities in Europe also have the opportunity to complete internships for up to 12 months at businesses or research centers in Europe. This international experience enables graduates to join global business networks and step into the sector as individuals with high self-confidence and developed cultural awareness.

Immediate Employment and Professional Certification

Aiming to directly meet the cybersecurity sector's need for a trained workforce, the vocational school provides its graduates with a "work experience" certificate alongside their diplomas. The specialized courses taken during the education period and the field experience in the final semester pave the way for graduates to be immediately employed as "Cyber Heroes" in the IT sector.
