Ege University Vocational School of Cybersecurity Increases Its Industry Collaborations
As one of the four cybersecurity vocational schools within state universities in Turkey, Ege University Vocational School of Cybersecurity continues to expand its collaborations with the industry. In this context, a cooperation protocol was signed with INDAS Cyber Security within the scope of the "Workplace Vocational Training" course offered at the school.
Providing information about the protocol, Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Haydar Yalçın stated, "As Ege University Vocational School of Cybersecurity, enabling our students to combine their theoretical knowledge with industry experience is among our top priorities. During our meetings with INDAS Cyber Security officials, we evaluated the importance of the 3+1 education model within the scope of the Council of Higher Education's (YÖK) efforts to expand vocational training. Furthermore, we exchanged ideas on future training sessions for our students in the field of OT (Operational Technology) cybersecurity, joint projects, and cooperation opportunities aimed at providing qualified human resources to the sector. We were particularly pleased that one of our program's graduates, Yusuf Salih Sevim, has been employed by the company, which once again demonstrates the valuable contributions our collaboration will provide to our students."
Prof. Dr. Yalçın added, "We would like to thank the INDAS Cyber Security team for the support and collaboration they offer to our students, and we hope that our joint initiatives will increasingly continue."
